2016 “Jackson” Stuckey is a 9-year-old Afghan Hound that presented to our office mass on his neck. Dr. Chand did a cytology of the fluid from this mass and it was sent out to the lab to be analyzed. The results from the cytology indicated that our “Jackson” had thyroid cancer. Dr. Chand, spoke to “Jackson’s” owners and went over all the options for treatment. It was decided that the best option would be to remove the thyroid. The surgical procedure went great with no complications. “Jackson” made a full recovery and today he is a happy healthy dog.
