Pokey is a 2 year old Domestic short haired neutered male feline that was seen at a local ER clinic for a urinary obstruction. He was brought into New Market Animal hospital afterwards for recurrent urinary obstructions. Dr. Chand informed Pokey’s owners of a surgery called perineal urethrostomy which is a procedure in which the wider part of the urethra is attached to the skin and prevents future urinary obstructions. Dr. Chand successfully preformed the surgery and Pokey is now living a happy, healthy, obstruction free life!
