If your pet experiences a medical emergency during our business hours please call and let us help you. We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty seven days a week who are trained and equipped to handle urgent needs. Emergencies can be things such as ingesting chocolate, gum, or rat poision, being hit by a car, or getting into a fight with another dog or cat, among other problems.
If you experience an emergency after hours, please call Crossroads Animal Referral and Emergency at 301-662-2273, VETURGENCY at 301-288-8387, or CARE at 301-368-6260.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to “squeeze” you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
