We are focused on compassionate, client-friendly, affordable, and high-quality patient-centered care. We strive to listen to our client’s needs and wants and offer services 7 days a week. We offer boarding, grooming, laser therapy, ultrasound, digital radiographs, and select orthopedic procedures including knee repairs.
We are Frederick County’s animal population control leader, working with several low-cost spay and neuter programs throughout the year.
Visiting New Market Animal Hospital for the first time
Being a first-time pet owner is exciting, but it also comes with a number of uncertainties and challenges. Principally among these challenges is finding the right local veterinarians that can take care of your new friend and make a great impression from day one.
Perhaps you accompanied your parents to the vet as a kid or maybe you’ve been dating someone who has a cat or dog, but you’ve never taken your own pet to the vet. Every new pet owner — and their pet — usually experiences a little anxiety during a first time visit but rest assured that New Market Animal Hospital will take care of your cat or dog with the utmost care, compassion, and respect.

As a new client of New Market Animal Hospital, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and start the check in process in an examination room for your privacy.
In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been performed, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan, if warranted.
This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up.
Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
We are excited to meet you and your furry friend.
